Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Sarah's grandmother taught her how to sew at a young age. She would make doll clothes and even create her own fashion magazines. Now, Sarah excels in her coursework and is passionate about her future in design. She draws inspiration from architecture, lifestyles, and her personal experiences in the world. Growing up in a small, Midwest town has sparked her love for traveling to new and exciting places. While studying and completing her first internship in London, Sarah found inspiration for her senior collection, Way Out.
Way Out is inspired by the architecture of flats found throughout the various boroughs of London. The elements of line, contrast, and texture are used to create a detail oriented ready-to-wear capsule for chic, young professional women who are always on the go. Through her education, work, and future travels, Sarah hopes to further her creative and technical design knowledge to enhance and influence her career in apparel design.
