Elizabeth Davelaar has fallen in love with creating pieces that emphasize femininity while also drawing inspiration from architecture and nature. This results in a sense of strength and pattern in her pieces. She has interned at The Bridal Gallery and learned fit and construction, which she applies to each item she designs. She is hoping to attend graduate school to research sustainable business practices, and hopefully open her own business one day.
This collection focuses on the modern woman alongside the traditions of a classic wedding. Strong lines contrast with volume and sheers contrast with opaque. Elizabeth wanted to focus on the strength of her brides in addition to their feminine shapes. Each look creates strong lines through the pleats and draws the eye to the bride’s natural curves. This provides the perfect balance for brides who are looking for a modern twist on a traditional day.
