Lauren Janoski is an apparel designer who focuses on design, fashion, functionality, and wearability. She has a strong background with ideation, illustration, patterning, and garment construction. After interning with designer Elizabeth Geisler and studying fashion collection abroad in Florence, Italy, she has grown to find a better understanding of what true craft, design, and construction entails. Her area of focus is working with different types of texture and fabrications. She finds her inspiration in nature, androgyny, and the overall tailored construction of the garment.
Lauren’s senior collection focuses on making the everyday wardrobe wearable. The pieces are designed to be layered, comfortable, and will act as life-long staple garments for young women. The garments explore the medium between masculinity and femininity, as well as quality, practicality, and fast pace fashion. What makes the collection unique is the tailored craft, luxurious fabrics, and sense of play with structure and size.
